The Tale of the Guardian Dragon and Sem
Once upon a time, there was a small village at the foot of a great mountain, shrouded in mysterious mists and brilliant night lights. The villagers said that at the top of the mountain lived a legendary Dragon, called the Guardian Dragon, who watched over those with a pure heart and a courageous spirit.
But few knew that the Dragon was not alone. Beside him lived a special woman named Sem, who knew the secrets of the Dragon and the magical energies that reside in the heart of every child. Sem was a kind and wise guide, capable of weaving magical threads and creating special bracelets called Dragon Bracelets, gifts that instilled courage and strength in those who wore them.
One day, a village boy named Leo, who was shy and often insecure, heard about the Guardian Dragon and Sem. It was said that whoever could find Sem and the Dragon would discover their own special strength and ignite the light that shone within.
Leo, who often felt small and incompetent, decided to leave. Even though he was afraid, a stronger desire drove him: he wanted to discover if he too had hidden courage.
He crossed the enchanted forest and climbed the first rocks of the mountain. When he began to feel tired, Leo sat under a large tree. And then, among the leaves and branches swaying in the wind, a gentle, luminous figure appeared: it was Sem. His eyes shone like stars, and on his arm he wore dozens of colorful bracelets that sparkled in the sunlight.
"You were looking for the Dragon, weren't you?" Sem asked with a smile.
"Yes... but perhaps I'm too small for such a great adventure," Leo replied, lowering his gaze.
Sem knelt beside him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You know, the Dragon was small once too. But he discovered that true strength comes not from those who are never afraid, but from those who choose to move forward despite their fear."
Sem took one of her bracelets and handed it to Leo. It was simple, made of natural stones, with a small, luminous stone in the center. "This is a Dragon Bracelet. It will help you remember that strength is already within you. Every knot and every stone tells a story of courage, just like yours."
Leo felt more confident and continued on his way, the bracelet glowing softly on his wrist. After a long journey, he finally reached the top of the mountain, where he met the Guardian Dragon. It was enormous, with sparkling eyes and wings that shone like stars. But instead of frightening him, the Dragon smiled at him.
"Welcome, little Leo," said the Dragon in a deep but gentle voice. "You have already discovered your courage. You found it when you chose to begin the journey and not give up."
The Dragon explained to Leo that every child has a heart as strong as a dragon's fire, and that fire is ignited every time you face a challenge, help a friend, or believe in yourself.
Before letting him return home, the Dragon added: "Remember, every time you look at your bracelet, you will feel my presence and that of Sem. Your little Dragon within is always with you, ready to roar and light the way in times of uncertainty."
When Leo returned to the village, he felt different. Not because his fear had completely disappeared, but because he understood that a little Dragon lived inside him, ready to give him strength and guide him when he needed it.
From that day on, Leo began telling the other children in the village about his adventure and the secret of the Guardian Dragon and Sem: true strength lies not in muscles or power, but in the heart that chooses to move forward, even when afraid.
Moral of the story:
Each of us has a little Dragon in our hearts, an invisible force that makes us brave, kind, and strong. Even when we feel insecure, that Dragon is there to remind us that we are stronger than we think.
And each Dragon bracelet, lovingly created by Sem, is a small talisman to remind children (and adults) that a special light shines within them, ready to guide them on every adventure in life.
