My story
My name is Sem, and my life has been a journey of growth, redemption and, above all, reconciliation. Even as a child, I experienced deep sorrow over the untimely death of my mother, an emptiness that stayed with me for a long time, marking my childhood and youth. As I grew up, that sadness became a constant shadow, prompting me to seek refuge in a marriage that did not represent me. But despite the difficulties, two wonderful daughters came into my life, who became my brightest reflection, the strength that pushed me not to give up.
One day, I found myself at a crossroads: continue to live with suffering and fear or choose to take charge of my life and face it with courage. In that moment of searching, I discovered a story that affected me deeply: the story of a princess who was a prisoner of a dragon.
Tired of waiting for a prince to rescue her, the princess decided to face the dragon alone, wielding her sword and shouting, “I am no longer afraid of you!”
The dragon's words, “Why do you stay here so long?” gave me pause. I realized that, like the princess, I had a dragon to face, but it was not an enemy to fight. My dragon was sadness, disappointments and the fear of not being enough. And it was at that moment that I realized a fundamental truth: I did not need to fight my dragon. I needed to learn to make peace with it.
And so, in my journey of rebirth, I decided not to run away anymore, but to recognize my dragon as a part of me. Not an enemy to be destroyed, but a presence that had taught me lessons in strength and resilience. There, finally, I found peace with my past and with myself. No longer a prisoner, but aware of my inner power.
During this journey, I met the love of my life, who encouraged me to explore my passions, believe in my worth, and turn my pain into an asset. Together, we built an authentic connection that gave me the strength to face my fears and break free from the invisible chains that held me back.
It was then that I began creating my Japamalas for Love, one-of-a-kind pieces made with intention and passion. Each Japamala has become a symbol of my journey of transformation, the power of love and the courage to make peace with everything that has shaped me. Each creation is my tribute to rebirth, forgiveness and acceptance.
Over time, I realized that the dragon was never a threat, but a guide. The real imprisonment was in my belief that I had no power to change. The keys to my freedom had always been in my hands. And so, I decided to start “Sem's Dragon,” to share my experience and inspire others to make peace with their dragons, recognize their inner strength and rewrite their own history.
“Il Drago di Sem” is not just a name: it is a symbol of transformation, of the courage that comes from making peace with what we fear. Every bracelet, every Japamala I create, is my message to anyone who feels they have to face their dragon: true freedom comes when we stop fighting what formed us, welcoming our own path with all its challenges.
“Change begins within us, and the courage to face our fears is the first step toward freedom.”
